Title: Network Security Analyst
Duration – Contract to Hire
Location – Memphis, TN

Job Description:

The Network Security Analyst, under limited supervision, performs network administration & planning for all aspects of IT-network security infrastructure, including network equipment, firewalls, servers, and software applications. Typical duties for a Network Engineer may include but are not limited to: 

  • Perform a wide range of network administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for Palo Alto, Aruba, and Extreme network equipment
  • Evaluate, test, and deploy software and hardware upgrades to the networking infrastructure.
  • Assist in the configuration and deployment of core and peripheral network devices.
  • Proactive monitoring of all network devices and services to ensure high availability
  • Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes 
  • Assist in implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans
  • Manage & troubleshoot network and Internet connectivity throughout the organization
  • Create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with and support the work of other staff engaged in similar functions
  • Coordinate with the rest of the IS team to meet the team objectives
  • Manage endpoint protection  
  • Security port management 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related work experience 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Network Administration
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with network switches/routers (e.g.  Extreme, Dell), wireless networking equipment (e.g. Aruba), and firewalls/security appliances (e.g.  Palo Alto).
  • Strong knowledge of networking, including: TCP/IP, Vlans, Ethernet, switching, routing and routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), 802.1Q, and DNS/DHCP
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization​​

Job Qualifications:

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and either
  • Professional Technical Certification is preferred like CCNA, ENA
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with network switches/routers (e.g. Cisco, Extreme, Dell), wireless networking equipment (e.g. Aruba), and firewalls/security appliances (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto)
